Firefighters were called to a fire on playing fields in Stokesley yesterday.
However, they arrived to find local residents had already extinguished the blaze.
The incident happened in the Stripe in Stokesley at about 6.50pm.
A crew from Coulby Newham from Cleveland Fire Service attended the scene.
