Firefighters were called to extinguish a deliberate field fire in Fairfield Road, Stokesley, yesterday.
A crew from Stokesley attended at about 6.50pm.
Firefighters extinguished the small fire using a bucket of water.
In a separate incident, a crew from Northallerton was called to the town’s Winton Road at about 11.45pm to gain entry to a house and reach the occupant who needed care.
Crews used a short extension ladder to gain access.
In a further incident, crews from Knaresborough, Thirsk and Wetherby responded to reports of a vehicle smoking on the A1 northbound near Dishforth at about 8pm yesterday.
however, no vehicle was found.
