Firefighters were called to a house fire in Crakehall last night.
Bedale and Leyburn crews attended and extinguished the blaze on the ground floor of the residential property.
One hose reel was used to extinguish the fire.
The fire caused damage to a chair, carpet and curtains.
The cause is still under investigation.
