Firefighters were called to reports of a bonfire near Northallerton High Street last night.
The incident was reported just after 6pm.
Northallerton firefighters responded to the blaze.
On arrival they confirmed a small bonfire had almost died out but buckets of water were used to make sure it was fully out.
