Firefighters were attended a fire in woodland near Thirsk last night.
A crew from Thirsk fire station were called to the incident at Hood Hill at just before 9pm.
They were called after smoke was seen coming from an area of woodland.
Firefighters extinguished a smouldering fire measuring 20m by 20m using knapsack sprayers and beaters.
They were due to return to carry out further checks.
