Firefighters were called out last night to reports of flood water coming through the floorboards of a house.
The incident was reported in Newsham Road, Thirsk, at about 10.15pm.
A fire crew from attended the scene.
The crews used pumped the water away from the property into nearby fields until the water level had dropped to a suitable level.
Crews also gave advice to the home owner.
