Firefighters were called out after children got stuck in a living room.
The incident happened at around 3.40pm on Boxing Day in Northallerton.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and rescue Service said: “A crew from Northallerton attended a property to assist in releasing a door handle which had got stuck with children in the living room.
“Crews used manpower to open the door handle.”
