Firefighters were called to a shop fire in Northallerton today.
The blaze occurred at cobbler’s shop Dennis & Parry, in Zetland Street, with the Northallerton fire crew called to the scene at 12.55pm.
The building suffered 40 p[er cent fire damage to the building as well as 100 per cent smoke damage.
Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel, thermal imaging camera, positive pressure ventilation, triple extension ladder and immediate emergency care park used.
It is understood the shopkeeper was shaken but uninjured and that no other premises were damaged in the blaze.
