Firefighters were called to a bag of clothes on fire this morning.
The incident happened at about 10.30am in Northallerton.
A crews from Northallerton Fire Station attended a retail premises in the town.
On arrival crews found a bag of clothing on fire which had spread to the carpet.
The fire was accidental caused by an overheated light fitting.
Firefighters used a hose reel, two breathing apparatus, a thermal image camera and also ventilated the property.
