South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is inviting local communities to remember their loved ones this festive season by dedicating a memorial bauble on Christmas trees at Friarage Hospital and The James Cook University Hospital.

Christmas trees will be placed across Friarage and James Cook, where individuals can write a personalised message inside a love bauble and hang them on the memorial trees.

Each bauble has a feather inside it along with a heartfelt personalised message and will be hung on Christmas trees across James Cook and Friarage.

The money raised from this campaign will help the trust to enhance the experience of patients, staff and visitors.

Lisa Meehan, fundraising manager for Our Hospitals Charities, said: “Last Christmas we were blown away with the amount of support and feedback we received from local families.

“We know that Christmas can be a very difficult time for those who have lost someone special so we hope our memorial trees go some way in offering comfort.

“We are requesting a suggested minimum donation of £2.50, with funds raised benefiting our patients across James Cook, Friarage and community health services.”

If you would like to pay tribute to a loved one you can do this via our JustGiving page.

The team requests a minimum donation of £2.50 per bauble and is accepting contributions until Christmas Eve.
