Emergency services were called to an accident near Bedale last night.
The collision involved two cars and occurred on Masham Road.
Police and firefighters from Bedale were called to the scene at just after 9pm.
The two casualties were out of the car when firefighters arrived and were in the care of ambulance staff.
The crew worked to make the scene safe using a hose reel jet and an extinguisher.
