The emergency services were called to a crash on the A1(M) yesterday.
The incident happened at about 5am on the northbound carriageway near Leeming Bar.
Fire crews from Ripon, Thirsk and Bedale responded to a report from police of a car which had left the carriageway.
On arrival, police were in attendance and nobody was trapped.
Fire crews made sure the scene was safe.
