Emergency services called after car crashes through shop window

The emergency services were called after a car crashed through shop window yesterday.

The incident happened in Stokesley High Street at about 7pm.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said its Stokesley crew  attended the single vehicle road traffic collision.

A spokesperson added: “A car had gone through a shop window.

“The driver of the car was not seriously hurt, however was transported to hospital by ambulance.

“Crews made sure the building was secure and assisted the gas engineer on site.”
