Driver tests positive for cocaine after A1(M) crash

A motorist tested positive for cocaine after a crash on the A1(M) yesterday.

The collision occurred on the northbound junction near Sinderby.

The driver and passenger both suffered minor injuries.

The driver provided a preliminary alcohol specimen which was under the limit although according to TC David Minto “not my much”.

However, he tested positive for cocaine on a roadside drugs test.

He was taken to hospital for treatment where he also provided a blood sample for further testing.
