Curly kale mistaken for cannabis

A bag of curly kale was reported to North Yorkshire Police yesterday by a member of the public who was worried it was cannabis.

Officers were called to the A6055 at Pickhill, between Northallerton and Thirsk after a motorist spotted the bag in the road.

Officers attended the scene and confirmed it was the vegetable.
