The Friends of The Friarage have a brand new car to give away in their latest fundraiser.
Top prize in the bumper prize draw is a brand new Peugeot 208, supplied by Simon Bailes Peugeot, and tickets are on sale now at just £2 each.
The winner will be drawn by Peter Wright, star of TV’s The Yorkshire Vet at the annual Barn that Rocks event in June.
The annual live music fundraiser is staged by local farmer Peter Fall, at Grazing Nook Farm, near Patrick Brompton, to raise money for the charity.
This year’s event, sponsored by Barclays Bank, will be the ninth Barn that Rocks.
Over the years it has raised a total of over £62,000 for local charities including Great North Air Ambulance, Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Friends of the Friarage.
Over the last two years it has raised £32,500 for the Friends of the Friarage alone.
Donna Jermyn, chair of Friends of the Friarage, said: “I am delighted and grateful that Peter has once again chosen to work with the Friends of the Friarage.
“As a small charity run by volunteers, we are reliant on people like Peter who generously give their time and energy to raise funds for us, so that we can continue to buy equipment for the Friarage Hospital.
“We are also very grateful to Simon Bailes and Barclays Bank for supporting this event and helping us to offer such an amazing raffle prize. Best of luck to everyone who buys a ticket.”
Simon Bailes, CEO of Simon Bailes Peugeot, said: “I am thrilled to be able to support Friends of the Friarage and the Barn that Rocks, this year.
“The Friends of the Friarage is a fantastic organisation at the centre of the local community. It does marvellous work in providing vital support to the hospital.”
Tickets can be bought from the Friarage Hospital, The Charity Hub at The James Cook University Hospital and a host of other local venues.
