A car set on fire after hitting a tree near Northallerton on Saturday night.
Firefighters from Northallerton were called to the incident at East Harlsey at about 11.45pm.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “The Northallerton crew attended the scene of a car on fire which had been caused after the vehicle had impacted a tree.
“The crew searched local area for persons involved but none were found.”
The crew extinguished the fire using thermal imaging equipment, two breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and lighting.
The incident was left in the hands of the police.
