Bedale Leisure Centre has reopened to the public – with £314,000 of improvements to show off!

Work on the centre began last November and is the latest to undergo major upgrades to bring it bang up to date – and in line with Hambleton District Council’s other leisure centres.

The Thirsk and Sowerby, Northallerton and Stokesley leisure centres have all had substantial refurbishment in the last four years.

Bedale has seen a complete overhaul of the health and fitness areas with all gym and studio equipment replaced.

There are now 30 stations in the fitness suite which is fully equipped with market leading Technogym equipment.

Seventeen new Technogym group cycling bikes have been installed for the studio along with Technogym’s virtual cycling solution.

Improvements have been undertaken to the accessible changing facility and some reception facilities; and a new sauna cabin has been installed and the relaxing area brightened up.

“This work brings Bedale up to date and on a par with our other centres,” said council leader, Councillor Mark Robson’

“They all now have the most up to date equipment in their gyms and together with their first class swimming pools they are the best the district can offer for fitness and leisure pastimes.”
