A Hambleton leisure centre has been recognised for the quality of its pool water.
Following a one day assessment by the national body STA (Swim Teachers Association), the centre in Bedale achieved ‘Excellent’ in all areas, including water treatment, cleaning and housekeeping and bather hygiene.
“It is great to be recognised and congratulated for managing our pool water effectively by the STA who set the industry standard, “said Bedale Centre Manager Mike Readman.
“The Pool Water Management Quality Mark which lasts for two years demonstrates our commitment to providing excellent swimming facilities for customers.”
Over the next 12 months the councils’ centres in Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk and Sowerby will work towards this accreditation.
