Two men have been arrested in a Northallerton department store, after being found with suspected stolen property.
Police in the town say they received a report of two suspicious people in Barkers department store on the High Street on Monday afternoon. Officers arrived at the shop and stopped both men.
After being searched, they were found in possession of devices to remove security tags, along with suspected stolen property.
Following their arrest, police traced their vehicle parked nearby and found what they believe to be more stolen property from other businesses in Northallerton.
Both men are now in custody while police continue their enquiries.
