Walter Dawson and Son Accountants in Northallerton are seeking an Apprentice Accountant to join their team.
This is an ideal position for a candidate who has completed their A-levels and wishes to learn on the job alongside attending college one day per week to complete their Level 2 AAT. There will be a long-term, permanent position for the right person following the successful completion of the Apprenticeship and opportunities for progression to Level 3 if appropriate.
We are looking for a passionate, driven individual who is willing to learn and good at problem solving. They must have excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and have exceptional IT skills. They must demonstrate a high level of accuracy, proficiency, and professionalism which are key criteria in fulfilling this role.
A typical day in the office may include preparation of accounting records using Sage Cloud Accounting. Preparation of year-end accounts and tax returns using Iris Software. Liaising with clients to assist with their queries, arrange meetings, gather information, etc. This is an exciting, varied role and no day is ever the same.
