Appeal after thief steals rings from care home resident

Police have issued an appeal after a thief stole rings from a care home resident

Officers say the two rings are of great sentimental value and were stolen from a vulnerable victim who lives in a care home in the Hambleton district.

The first is a wishbone type ring in a yellow metal.

The second is a diamond cluster ring.

Police say they are both items of significant sentimental value.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “We are requesting the public’s assistance to help and identify if they have seen either of these rings for sale on social media or local selling sites in the last few weeks.”

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation should contact North Yorkshire Police on 101, select option 2, and ask for Charlotte Lancaster.
