Appeal after mobility scooter rider seriously injured in Northallerton collision

A pensioner suffered serious injuries after a collision between a mobility scooter and car in Northallerton.

Police in Northallerton are appealing for witnesses and information following collision between a white Citroen C1 and a black mobility scooter.

It happened at the roundabout of Boroughbridge Road and South Parade at about 3.30pm on Monday, December 12 last year.

The rider of the mobility scooter, a local man aged in his mid-80s, suffered serious pelvis and hip injuries which required hospital treatment.

The driver of the Citroen, aged in his early 20s and from Northallerton, is assisting the collision investigation.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, dash-cam footage or anyone who recalls seeing either vehicle prior to the collision to get in touch as soon as possible.
