Appeal after 500-year-old church windows smashed

Police are appealing for information about criminal damage at St Mary’s Church in Thirsk.

It happened between Friday, May 24 and Sunday, May 26 when numerous windows of the church were broken.

The windows are estimated to be over 500 years old.

Police say they are appealing to anyone who may have seen or heard anything.
