Bedale High School has confirmed another Covid-19 case among pupils.
The school said a year 8 student had tested positive for the virus.
The school said in a statement on social media: “We have collated the list of direct contacts and I have texted the parents of these children to let them know.
“They will soon receive an email with further details.
“The student does not get the bus to school, so it is just lessons and social times that we have tracked back.
“These students will be self-isolating from either Monday or Tuesday last week, for a period of 14 days.”
The school said that if parents did not receive any contact they did not need to do anything, and their child was still safe to return to school as normal after half term.
“As we said last week, we know that there will be more of these to come.
“Thank you for all your help and understanding.”
It is the second positive test announced by the school after a number of pupils had to isolate last week following a confirmed case.
