
Visitors to Kiplin Hall travelled back in time on Sunday, paying the 1625 equivalent of the 2025 ticket fee.
For just 6p visitors explored the museum and gardens, in celebration of the 400th anniversary of the building of Kiplin Hall.
Over 700 visitors attended the event and were greeted by staff in 17th century costume
Samantha Jennings, spokesperson for Kiplin, said: “Often considered a hidden gem Kiplin is quickly becoming one of the region’s most sparkling jewels.
“A new Visitor Centre has opened at the site this spring, offering a new café, larger gift shop and modern facilities.
“There are many opportunities to celebrate this milestone year at Kiplin, including history talks, a reenactment weekend in late August, seasonal trails and much more.”
