Police appeal for help to catch motorcyclist who has evaded officers

North Yorkshire Police have issued an appeal for help to catch a motorcyclist.

The force says that over the past few weeks, officers have attempted to stop the bike on several occasions in the Thirsk area, each time this has quickly escalated into a pursuit.

The motorcycle is believed to be a Kawasaki Ninja, possibly a ZX-9R and is distinctively red at the front.

A spokesperson said: “We’re now appealing for any information about the motorbike or the rider as they may have information that can help our investigation.”

Contact the force if you recognise the bike or rider pictured on CCTV.

You can email jack.dodsworth@northyorkshire.police.uk if you can help.

Alternatively, you can call North Yorkshire Police on 101, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via their website.
