Emergency services come to aid of patient after fall

The emergency services were called to help after a resident suffered a fall and leg injury.

The incident happened at about 11pm on Thursday in Northallerton.

Firefighters from the town were called to assist paramedics with the difficult extrication of the patient from the property.

The fire crew used a casualty handling sheet and crew power to get the patient into a road ambulance.

They were then taken to hospital.
