Six people injured in four-vehicle crash on A19

Six people were injured in a four-car crash on the A19 yesterday.

The emergency services were called to the collision at about 3.30pm on Tuesday on the A19 east of Northallerton, near Kirby Sigston.

Police, fire and ambulance services attended the scene.

The vehicles involved were a blue Skoda Fabia, a dark blue Skoda Octavia, a black Volkswagen Tiguan and a black coloured Volkswagen Golf

Six people were injured and taken to hospital for treatment, including one man who suffered life-threatening injuries.

He remains in hospital at this time.

Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch straight away.

Anyone who saw the collision, or the vehicles involved prior to it, or has relevant dashcam footage, is asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
