Firefighters were called to rescue a cat stuck up a tree today.
The incident happened at about 11.40pm in Kellbalk Lane, Easingwold.
An RSPCA inspector contacted fire control to request the assistance of a fire crew in rescuing the cat which had been stuck up a conifer tree for at least 48 hours.
Milo the cat was rescued by a crew from Acomb from over 20ft up the tree and brought safely down into the hands of his owner.
The crew used working at height gear and a triple extension ladder during the rescue.
