Firefighters came to the aid of a disabled woman in Thirsk this morning.
The crew from Thirsk attended a property after the woman called to say she could hear running water in her kitchen and was worried this would result in flooding.
The crew gained entry and found a tap had been left running which had caused the sink to over flow.
Firefighters isolated the water supply.
