North Yorkshire Police report fault with 101 number

North Yorkshire Police has reported an fault with its 101 number.

The force said it was an “intermittent issue” with non-emergency calls to the 101 service.

A spokesperson added: “We’ve worked had to resolve this and it is now fixed. But it resulted in some 101 calls failing to connect this morning.

“Apologies if your call was one of those affected.”

They added: “Did you know, you can also use our website to tell us about non-emergency incidents and share information?

“You’ll find a ‘report’ link on the front page (of the force’s website).”
