Firefighters were called to a suspected fire at a crematorium today.
Firefighters from Ripon and Thirsk responded to the incident near Thirsk at a bout 1.30pm today.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “On arrival this was found to be a false alarm caused by over pressurisation during the cremation process.”
