Police in the Hambleton area are taking part in a crackdown on uninsured drivers.
The force-wide operations has seen dozens of vehicles taken off the road in recent week.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are out there locating more and more uninsured vehicles on the roads of our county.
“This unsuspecting driver from the Northallerton area had their vehicle seized.”
