A 25-year-old man from Middlesbrough has been arrested on suspicion of a burglary in Great Ayton in which a pick-up truck was stolen.
This takes the number to six – all males aged from 14 to 25 – who have been arrested in connection with a series of burglaries and thefts being investigated Northallerton CID.
DC Quita Readman has urged residents in our rural areas to remain vigilant and to report any suspicious activity to the police or anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
It is also a timely reminder to keep properties and vehicles secure to deter opportunistic criminals.
