Firefighters called after bonfire gets out of control

Firefighters were called after a bonfire got out of control last night.

The incident happened at Maunby, south of Northallerton, with the emergency services alerted at about 9.20pm.

Thirsk crews responded to the incident.

The fire consisted of rubbish in a hedgerow and measured 5m by 5 m.

Crews  used a hose reel jet and gave advice to the land owner.
