Two sporting heroes are coming to North Yorkshire next month and both became household names for their remarkable achievements in the saddle.
AP McCoy, the greatest jump jockey of all time and one of the world’s highest profile sporting personalities dominated his sport for over two decades. Sir Anthony, a 20-time Champion Jockey, recently ended a truly phenomenal career with a staggering 4,357 wins including the 2010 Grand National, Cheltenham Gold Cup, Champion Hurdle, Queen Mother Champion Chase and King George VI Chase.
McCoy will talk about his career in horse racing at Princess Alexandra Yarm Auditorium on Friday, September 1 at 7.30pm.

Sir Bradley Wiggins, who competed professionally between 2001 and 2016, began his cycling career on the track, but later made the transition to road cycling. He is the only rider to have won both World and Olympic championships on track and road, as well as the Tour De France.
Sir Bradley wore the leader’s jersey in each of the three Grand Tours of cycling and held the world record in team pursuit on multiple occasions, as well as winning a gold medal at four successive Olympic Games from 2004 to 2016.
