Police are appealing for witnesses after a man suffered serious injuries when his trike left the road.
It happened at about 12.30pm on Wednesday on the A167 Northallerton Road, Dalton-on-Tees.
A distinctive-looking trike – black in colour, with two wheels at the front and one at the rear – left the road and collided with a hedge.
The rider suffered serious, life-threatening injuries.
Officers are urging anyone who witnessed the collision itself, or the trike being ridden prior to the collision – or anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage – to get in touch.
