The emergency services were called out today after a three-wheeled motorcycle rider crashed into a hedge.
The incident happened in Northallerton Road, Dalton-on-Tees, at about 12,45pm.
Police, ambulance crews and firefighters from Northallerton and Darlington attended to the single-vehicle collision.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service the accident occurred after the rider had a medical episode.
Fire crews provided first aid and assisted ambulance crews to stabilise the casualty to be transported to hospital.
