Police say a pensioner reported missing from the Scruton area has been found safe and well.
An appeal was issued yesterday morning to find the vulnerable 78-year-old.
Police and search and rescue experts from Cleveland and Swaledale mountain rescue teams were called in to find the woman.
After several hour of searching the woman was found safe and well at a farmhouse in the area.
Steve Clough, incident controller for Swaledale M9ountain rescue Team, said the team had split its resources with other members sent to help an injured paraglider in the Dales.
“We deployed our two search dogs Ollie and Cassie to search nearby woodlands whilst the police search plane used infra red cameras to search the open areas.
“After about two hours of searching our missing person was located safe and well at a nearby farm house.”
