Hundreds of dog-lovers attended the Saving Yorkshire’s Dogs fun dog show in Bedale yesterday.
Organisers were grateful for sunshine and an absence of showers as dogs and their owners from across the region and beyond descended on the town.
There were more than ten classes on the day, including waggiest tail, best trick, cutest dog and best young handler, with more 60 entries in some classes.
Julie Hart, chair of the charity, thanked everyone who attended, saying the show raised more than £4,500 to help the charity care and rehome dogs in need.
“The weather was very kind to us which was a bonus.
“We had visitors, almost international, from Morecambe, Hull, Scotland and Surrey.
“Thank you so much everyone- from all the visitors, volunteers, friends and supporters who made this event a success.”
