Motorist cut free by firefighters after crash near Bedale

A motorist was cut free by firefighters after a crash near Bedale yesterday.

The two-vehicle collision happened at about 11am in Watlass Lane, Thornton Watlass.

Firefighters from Bedale attended the incident.

On arrival one female was still in one of the vehicles.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “The crew used hydraulic cutting equipment to remove the side of the vehicle and the female was taken to hospital with air bag injuries.”
