A Brompton woman has been banned from driving after testing positive for two different drugs.

Francesca Pepper, 25, from Danes Court, appeared in York Magistrates’ Court yesterday charged with two counts of drug driving.

The motorist was tested after being stopped in the Meadows area of Northallerton on September 22, last year while driving a VW Polo.

Tests showed she had both cocaine and MDMA, also known as ecstasy, in her system.

Pepper admitted both charges in court.

She was banned from driving for 18 months and ordered to pay a fine and costs of £253.
