Police have praised drivers in Northallerton after 20 motorists blew zero on alcohol breath tests.
North Yorkshire Police said they carried out 20 alcohol and drugs tests in an hour in the town this week.
The force is currently carrying out its annual festive drink and drugs drive crackdown.
So far, more than 80 arrests have been made in the county with at least eight in the Hambleton area.
However, a spokesperson tweeted yesterday: “Good news from the roads.
“We often post about the many drink and drug driving arrests we make – but we like to share better news too.
“Yesterday morning, we carried out 20 checks in an hour in Northallerton and every single driver provided a reading of zero. Great to see!”
