A charity-run preschool has been judged to e outstanding by Ofsted.
Aiskew Under Fives aims to provide affordable childcare for preschool children aged two to four.
The preschool was given the rating after an inspection in October.
The report concluded: “Children do very well at this exceptional pre-school setting.
“The use of the educational programme and children’s rich experiences build on their knowledge and skills.
“All children make remarkable progress and are well prepared for their next stage of learning.”
Preschool manager Helen Hustwick said: “We are absolutely over the moon to have been awarded outstanding status.
“The staff have worked incredibly hard to achieve this rating and we couldn’t be more proud.
“Aiskew Under Fives constantly strives to grow and improve and offer a fantastic pre-school setting for children aged 2-4.
“We are a fully-inclusive preschool with no catchment area — everyone is welcome.”
