Police appeal after van stolen in Thirsk

Police are urging the public to report sightings of a stolen van.

The white Citroen Relay long wheelbase high top van was stolen at around 1.45am on Friday from Sowerby, Thirsk.

The last three digits of its number plate are LVD and it is sign-written for a gardening company.

It has the distinctive branding, ‘SM’, and ‘Simon Mason Gardening’ (pictured below).

Police are appealing for information, in particular from anyone who may have seen the vehicle in the area of the A19 at Sowerby or travelling southbound on the A1 (M).

Officers are also asking members of the public in the area at the time to check their dashcam for a van matching the description.
