Police are appealing for information after a bench was set on fire in Northallerton.
The incident happened in the Applegarth car park at about 9.30pm on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Hambleton neighbourhood policing team said: “If you were in the area at the time, did you see any one hanging around.
“Were you driving in or out of the car park and do you have a dash cam
“Any information can be sent to snanorthallerton@northyorkshire.police.uk.”
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said youths had deliberately set the bench on fire.
