A man was taken to hospital following a Bedale house fire yesterday.
Fire crews from Bedale and Masham responded to reports of the fire in the living room of a house at 9.10pm on Wednesday.
On arrival, crews confirmed that the fire which was confined to a cushion, had been extinguished prior to the fire services arrival.
A 60-year-old man was taken to hospital via road ambulance for smoke inhalation.
