A dispersal order has been put in place until 4am tomorrow in the Northallerton and Romanby area.
The order has been issued to tackle problems of anti-social behaviour in the town.
A spokesperson for Hambleton neighbourhood policing group said: “This order is in place to help prevent anti-social behaviour and crime by giving police the power to disperse groups involved from the area for a period of up to 48 hours.
“We would advise parents to be aware of where their children are and what they are up to, as positive action will be taken.
“If you would like to report any anti-social behaviour, please report to North Yorkshire Police on 101.”
