Police appeal after vandalism at cricket club

Police are appealing for witnesses and information about an incident of criminal damage that occurred in the village of Scruton near Northallerton.

The incident took place at Scruton Cricket Club on Station Road in Northallerton on Saturday, August 7 between 5.30pm and 6.30am, where damage has been caused to the wicket covers.

Officers say they are conducting enquiries to determine the circumstances of the incident.

They would like to speak to three youths – two boys and a girl – who were in the area at the time the damage was caused, as they may hold important information.
